Another clamp? Really? Actually, the Rockler Universal Clamp It Kit is different - in a good way. Rockler's latest gadgety offering comes in kit form. Right out of the box, you'll find 2 clamps and a sturdy polycarbonate assembly square. To answer your logical first question - yes, it's really sturdy and no, it doesn't flex. I had no problems with its alignment during my testing.

 The most obvious uses for this clamping system are in full color right there on the packaging. Use it for squaring up frames or other projects where a true 90 degree corner is a must.

Additionally, the clamps are perfect for use with a sacrificial table saw fence. To create the fence on my saw, it took all of about 3 minutes from start to finish, thanks to the ingenious design of the threaded angle arms that allow you to adjust the width quickly and easily.

The clamps hold securely and I haven't noticed any slippage from saw vibration. Obviously, for safety reasons, always make sure your clamps are tight before using them in this situation.Value for the money? I think $25 (MSRP) is more than fair, given the multiple duties these clamps are capable of undertaking. I'm sure that given a few weeks or months in your shop, you'll come up with uses that haven't ever crossed your mind. When you do, send them in so we can share them! If you have the cash and the shop, I'd recommend you give the Rockler Universal Clamp-It Kit a shot. It's true - you can never be too rich, too thin, or have too many clamps :)
