Rockler Introduces DIY Steel Table Frame Kits
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced Steel Table Frame Kits to give DIY furniture builders a head start constructing custom accent tables. The kits contain the steel legs, stretchers, and hardware necessary to construct the load-bearing structure of a table, allowing do-it-yourselfers to craft a table top to accomplish a custom look for their own living space. The finished result is a one-of-a-kind table with the contemporary mixed media look which has become so popular in home furnishings.
"More and more people are building custom furniture," says Steve Krohmer, Rockler's Vice President of Product Marketing. "Our new Steel Table Frame Kits make it easy to create tables with a very contemporary and popular steel-and-wood look. Because builders add their own wood and finishes, the kits allow them to construct tables in their own style, for their own taste and to match their own environments."
The Steel Table Frame Kits feature brushed nickel hardware, sturdy steel legs and stretchers and a gun metal powder-coated finish that can also be painted by the builder if desired. Each kit includes four legs, four upper stretchers, two lower stretchers, one center stretcher, four furniture feet and all necessary assembly hardware. The legs are able to accept casters with a 1/2" stem. Rockler also offers Reclaimed Route 66 Lumber and a full line of finishing products and supplies to complete the table building process.
The Steel Table Frame Kits are available in three sizes: 46504 Coffee Table (20" wide x 46" long x 16" high) retails for $129.99, 46958 End Table (18" wide x 24" long x 22-1/2" high) for $109.99, and 47826 Sofa Table (12" wide x 46" long x 28-1/2" high) for $139.99.
