TSTAK Phase 2 Cases & Carts

Yup, the moment has finally arrived. Well, sort of. For those of us awaiting the carts that will carry our TSTAK cases around the job or the shop, DeWalt made us all very happy at the Stanley Black & Decker Media Preview this year. They introduced not only two new cart styles, but a couple of different cases configurations, as well.

Naama Eylon, one of our favorite product managers at SB&D, gave us the complete tour of the new TSTAK products. Following her walk-around, you can read all about the newest TSTAK family members.

TSTAK V DeWALT DWST1-71194 Organizer

This case has a clear lid. Big deal, right? Well, take a closer look - their design allows you to see around the perimeter of the case inside. The small recesses are great for bits, driver tips, and the like. The bins are also removable, so you can make this case into just about anything you want.

TSTAK VI DeWALT DWST1-71195  Deep Tool Case

Just as the name implies, this case is deep. According to Naama, it's twice as deep as a standard TSTAK case, so you'll finally have a place to put those larger circ saws and accessories.

It has a removable tray for smaller parts and tools, but it has enough space between it and the lid for battery storage. Once again, Naama's team has put some thought behind their product and kept the end-user in mind. How refreshing is that?

The basic model, it has swiveling wheels that lock. Clips on the edges hold your TSTAK cases securely in place.

DeWalt TSTAK Trolley

Coming sometime early next year, the trolly has a telescoping handle for convenience. Larger rear wheels give you more maneuverability over rough terrain, as well.

Once your TSTAKs are loaded onto the trolley, you'll find bonus space between the cases and the trolley handle. This makes a perfect storage spot for larger and longer tools like levels.

DeWalt TSTAK Phase 2 Opinion

As we stated before in this article, it sounds like DeWalt actually listened to the end-users suggestions about how this line of cases could be improved and implemented that plan. Bravo. We're looking forward to receiving the new boxes ourselves to beat them up and make sure they're as high-quality as Phase 1. The carts will be handy around the shop, too.
