Bosch L-Boxx Click & Go Storage System - Tool Review

The tool storage category is huge. A simple Google search for "tool storage boxes" will yield over 6,000,000 results. Obviously, we all have a lot of stuff to store. In our case, it's mainly tools - and the choices are growing every day.

The Bosch L-Boxx Click & Go Storage System is also designed to help you more easily transport your tools and gear from the shop to the job site and beyond. It's comprised of 4 different sizes and several different configurations:

• L-Boxx 1 - 4"x 17.5" x 14"
• L-Boxx 2 - 6" x 17.5" x 14"
• L-Boxx 3 - 10"x 17.5" x 14"
• L-Boxx 4 - 15" x 17.5" x 14"

Each Bosch L-Boxx is designed with a different tool genre in mind and can be configured with either pick & pluck foam or specific tool inserts. The Bosch site has a Tool Configurator that helps you decide which insert goes with what tool. We've also included some templates at the bottom of this post to help customize the L-Boxx to your needs.

All of the cases have at least 2 handle locations, making them easy to carry in almost any situation. Using the Bosch L-Boxx Click & Go Storage locking mechanism, the cases can be snapped together. This allows the user to carry multiple cases at a time, or use a wheeled dolly to move them around the shop or work site. We improvised in the Tool Skool shop, as you'll see in the video. And actually, at the time of this post, we couldn't locate either the L-Dolly or 2-Wheeled Dolly designed specifically for the L-Boxx system.

They're made of a tough ABS plastic, with reinforced webbing on the bottom and inside the lid.

L-Boxx 3 Divider Templates

We used these dividers, made from 1/4" ply to separate our timelapse cameras in the L-Boxx 3. Since the L-Boxxes don't have vertical walls, pay close attention the measurements on these patterns.
