Bosch 4.0Ah Battery Technology

Bosch showcased everything from kitchen appliances to lasers at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. They included an in-depth look at their 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion battery technology, coming to the U.S. in February 2013.

What makes the new tech so interesting is the that Bosch claims it has seen (in their testing) up to 65% more run-time in existing tools than current batteries can deliver. It's safe to say that's likely on the top end of things, with a more realistic improvement of 35% being the norm. That being the case, it's still amazing that battery technology continues to grow in leaps and bounds in this industry. After all, the best cordless drill in the world is nothing more than a paperweight without the battery to keep it moving.
