The Cheater You’ll Want To Keep

Why are divorces so expensive? Because they’re worth it. That goes for plumbers, as well. It’s a nasty smelly job in most cases, so any tool that makes it easier – we’re all for it!

The Milwaukee Cheater aims to replace 4 other wrenches in your tool box.

That’s what Milwaukee’s Cheater Pipe Wrench aims to do – combining 4 tools into one reasonably compact wrench, the Cheater gives you the ability to carry a 10″, 18″, and 24″ pipe wrench in less space. It has other features that seem to make it handier to have in the toolbox, as well.

Naked and alone, the Cheater measures about the size of a standard 10 inch pipe wrench.

Milwaukee Cheater Pipe Wrench | Opinion

I generally am weary of tools that try to be all things to all users. Most crash and burn under pressure. That may not be the case with Milwaukee’s Cheater. Given its fewer moving parts and intelligent design, it has a great chance at catching on in the market. Obviously, it’s a more professional than DIYer tool, but that won’t stop sales from crossing over.

At an estimated $100, it’s a bit pricey to have laying in the kitchen drawer, but it might return your investment quickly in time saved on the job.  This and other new pipe wrenches will be out in February 2016.
