Porter Cable 20 Volt Max Tools

It was a bit noisy outside the halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center, but that didn't stop the team at Porter Cable from debuting their new 20V Max line of tools. They're starting small, with only the drill/driver and an impact, but it's a start! They look solid from the outside and from what Mike Peiffer, the PC Product Manager we spoke with, they're solid on the inside, as well.

Neither the driver, nor the impact are short on features. Here's a partial list of what we saw:

  • 1.5 Ah Li-ion Battery

Porter Cable 20V Max Opinion

Overall, the tools feel well balanced and should have the power to tackle most basic tasks. The 1.5 Ah batteries will likely get upgraded in the future, but this is certainly a good start. We're just happy to see Porter Cable back on the road to success. It's been a while since we've seen the effort put into the brand.
