We're always willing to take a look at solar products, just in case one actually makes sense. That's exactly what happened when we stepped into the GoalZero booth at CES this year. We were introduced not only to the Yeti Solar Generator, but this handy little tool, as well.

The Switch8 Solar Recharging Kit makes great sense to have on the job site or anywhere, for that matter, especially if you use portable electronic devices (and really, who doesn't anymore?) The kit consists of a folding solar panel and the Switch8 Recharger. The two connect via USB cable and work as a team - the panel collects the sun's rays, converts them into energy, and then sends that energy to the Switch8 to store. When you're ready to re-charge your cell phone or other small device, just plug it into the Switch8 Recharger and voila - you're in the money.

What Does The Switch8 Charge?

The kit can re-charge smart phones, readers, even tablets, although they will each receive varying degrees of power, depending on their usage. In other words, you'll get more charges of your cell phone than your tablet. It's all spelled out on GoalZero's website, and we have the link at the end of this post.
