<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Latest Accessory Offers Stable Support, Minimal Surface Contact</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">MEDINA, MN (May 15, 2013) &#8211; Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has added <a href="http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=32251&amp;site=ROCKLER" target="_blank">Bench Cookie® Bridges</a> to its line of Bench Cookie® Work Grippers and accessories. The bridges are smoky translucent plastic caps that slide over the top of Bench Cookie® Work Grippers and feature a bridge support to facilitate painting, finishing, and other projects that require elevating the workpiece with minimal surface contact. Finishing narrow pieces for framing, molding, hardwood edging, shutter louvers, and other projects is especially convenient on the 2&#8243; wide bridge supports.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Action-A1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7550" alt="Rockler Bench Cookie Bridge" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Action-A1-300x200.jpg" width="300" height="200" /></a></p>
<p>&#8220;Bench Cookie® Bridges are exceptionally stable while maintaining minimal surface contact with workpieces,&#8221; says Scott Ekman, Vice President of the Marketing Department. &#8220;Because of the minimal surface contact, you can flip your workpiece over and finish the other side without damaging it.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Action-2-B.jpg"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7551" alt="Rockler Bench Cookie Bridge" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Action-2-B-300x218.jpg" width="300" height="218" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Bench Cookie® Bridges are made of durable, lightweight smoky gray translucent plastic. They feature three tabs which hug the edge of Bench Cookie® Work Grippers to stay firmly in place while supporting workpieces with the narrow contact bridge. Because the bridges slide over the top of Bench Cookies, the Cookies themselves are protected from paint and finish drips. The bridges nest and stack neatly, taking up minimal space when stored.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7552" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Set.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7552" alt="Rockler Bench Cookie Bridge " src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Bench-Cookie-Bridge-Set-300x228.jpg" width="300" height="228" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Set of 4</p></div></p>
<p>The Bench Cookie® Bridges (46554) are sold in packs of four and retail for $5.99 per pack. They can be purchased at Rockler Woodworking and Hardware stores nationwide, Rockler independent resellers, <a href="http://www.rockler.com/" target="_blank">Rockler.com</a>, or from the Rockler catalog. <h2>DeWalt vs Craftsman Tools</h2>
<p>Move over, Craftsman &#8211; there&#8217;s a new sheriff in town, maybe. During the DeWalt/Sears Press Event at this year&#8217;s National Hardware Show, we were told that DeWalt Mechanics Tools would find a new home at Sears &#8211; right next to the Craftsman brand. Can you say &#8216;awkward&#8217;? I dunno, it just seems a little weird &#8211; like cats living with dogs, but we stayed and listened; here&#8217;s what we found out (video below).</p>
<h3>DeWalt Ratchets, Sockets, and Wrenches</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The lineup will include all of the above and be available in sets, as well. The ratchets we were able to see and touch felt heavy-duty, but time will tell if the internal ratcheting mechanisms will hold up, of course. DeWalt claims they&#8217;ll offer 3 times the life of standard ratchets.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7538" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Ratchet.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7538" title="DeWalt Ratchet" alt="DeWalt Hand Tools" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Ratchet-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">DeWalt ratchets will be available in 1/4&#8243;, 3/8&#8243; and 1/2&#8243; drive and feature a 72-tooth gear system.</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">DeWalt Socket Rails will run the SAE and Metric size range and have deep laser-etched markings that should last a lifetime of abuse.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7539" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Sockets.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7539" title="DeWalt Socket Set" alt="DeWalt Hand Tools" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Sockets-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The laser-etched markings make the sockets easy to identify.</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">I was impressed with the anti-slip design of the open-end wrenches. There&#8217;s a small indentation on the leading jaw that offers up to 400% more gripping power and helps prevent those nasty slips. In the video, you&#8217;ll see this wrench design suspending an engine block, so it&#8217;s worth watching.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7540" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Wrenches.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7540" title="DeWalt Anti-Slip Wrenches" alt="DeWalt Hand Tools" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/DeWalt-Wrenches-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">DeWalt says their anti-slip design gives you 400% more gripping power.</p></div></p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">DeWalt Mechanics Tools Warranty</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to DeWalt, you&#8217;ll be able to simply call an 800 number (TBA) if you experience tool failure and they&#8217;ll send a replacement out. They also claim there will be no need to send the defective unit back, they just want a description of the fault. We wanted to know why you couldn&#8217;t simply return them to Sears and make the exchange, as you can do with Craftsman hand tools. Their reply was murky at best, but I would imagine they&#8217;re still formulating the warranty plan and it could be subject to change &#8211; stay tuned.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In the meantime, take a look at our video preview from the press event and hear what DeWalt Global Product Manager Rob Kamieniarz has to say.</p>

<h2>Porter Cable PCE605K Oscillating Tool</h2>
<p>The National Hardware Show was a little less crowded this year than in the past. We&#8217;re not sure if it&#8217;s a sign of the economy or something else. Whatever the case, we got to see some great new tools and accessories from several companies, including Porter Cable. They introduced us to their latest version of the Oscillating Tool and we were impressed with the features.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7479" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-PCE605K-1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7479" title="Porter Cable PCE605K 3 amp Oscillating Tool" alt="Oscillating Tool" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-PCE605K-1-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The Porter Cable PCE605K has some innovative features that could give other tool companies a run for their money.</p></div></p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">PCE605K Features</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For starters, the blade change is pretty ingenious &#8211; just depress the lever and swap out your accessory. They might be nipping at Bosch&#8217;s heels with this one!</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7480" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-Blade-Change-1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7480" title="Porter Cable Oscillating Tool Blade Change" alt="Oscillating Tool" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-Blade-Change-1-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Porter Cable&#8217;s tool-less blade change looks pretty convenient and smooth.</p></div></p>
<p><div id="attachment_7481" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-Roller-Guide-1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7481" title="Porter Cable Oscillating Tool Roller Guide" alt="Oscillating Tool" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PC-Roller-Guide-1-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The roller guide system on the PCE605K has the potential to come in pretty handy on the job.</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Their roller guide assembly also makes good sense. By changing its position, you can alter how far you plunge-cut or simply use it as a roller guide to keep it &#8220;between the lines&#8221;. My first thought was that they had put a lot of stuff on the front end of this tool that could potentially get in the way. It&#8217;s all growing on me now, though&#8230;I like the features and their benefits, but I&#8217;ll reserve judgment until I get to use one for awhile. Stay tuned.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We talked with Mike Peiffer, the Associate Product Manager of the Porter Cable Division of Stanley Black &amp; Decker. First, we asked how he fits all that on a business card and then moved on to the fine points of the new oscillating tool. Take a look and be sure to listen for the free concert!</p>

<h2>Rockler Adds Retro Hairpin-style Legs to I-Semble DIY Furniture Line</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">MEDINA, MN (May 8, 2013) &#8211; Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has added <a href="http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=32344&amp;site=ROCKLER" target="_blank">Hairpin Legs</a> to its I-Semble line of do-it-yourself furniture components. I-Semble Hairpin Legs are easy to install and can instantly bring a retro, mid-century look to transform boards, planks, stumps, and slabs into stylish, decorative fixtures. I-Semble Hairpin Legs are available in 28&#8243;, 16&#8243;, and 6&#8243; lengths enabling DIYers to achieve various heights when coupled with their selected building materials.</p>
<p>&#8220;Two things people love about I-Semble Hairpin Legs – they deliver retro mid-century style, which is a popular decor choice, and they also make the assembly process incredibly easy and fast,&#8221; says Scott Ekman, Vice President of the Marketing Department. &#8220;The Hairpin Legs are easy to incorporate into a variety of fixtures and are great for re-purposing old wood planks, tabletops, or materials people have sitting around the house or in the garage.&#8221;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Hairpin-Legs-A.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7461 aligncenter" alt="Rockler Retro Hairpin Legs" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Hairpin-Legs-A.jpg" width="451" height="385" /></a></p>
<p>The I-Semble Hairpin Legs feature steel construction with a satin black finish which blends easily with most home decor themes but are also paintable if a project calls for a look other than black. They install quickly and easily – users simply provide and install the appropriate screws (not included) to attach the legs to their projects. They are recommended for use in building occasional tables and other light duty fixtures, but not for chairs, dining tables, or other furniture bearing a heavy load.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Hairpin-Legs-B.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7462 aligncenter" alt="Rockler Retro Hairpin Legs" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Rockler-Hairpin-Legs-B.jpg" width="451" height="530" /></a></p>
<p>The I-Semble Hairpin Legs are sold in sets of four and are available in three lengths – 28&#8243;, 16&#8243;, and 6&#8243;. The 28&#8243; I-Semble Hairpin Legs (46349) retail for $99.99 per set, the 16&#8243; I-Semble Hairpin Legs (48254) retail for $79.99 per set, and the 6&#8243; I-Semble Hairpin Legs (46459) retail for $69.99. <h2 style="text-align: left;" align="center"><b>Klein® Tools Introduces Improved Durability and Quality Test &amp; Measurement Products</b></h2>
<h3 style="text-align: left;" align="center"><i>Multimeters and receptacle testers made tougher to last longer!</i></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">May 13, 2013 (Lincolnshire, IL) – Klein Tools, (http://www.kleintools.com/) for professionals since 1857, expands the <a href="http://www.service.kleintools.com/Tool/PRD/Category/Electrical%20Testers%20TESTERS" target="_blank">Test &amp; Measurement</a> line with “Made in the USA” multimeters and receptacle testers with higher durability and superior quality. These new <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/test-measurement/multimeters" target="_blank">multimeters</a> and <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/test-measurement/electrical-testers" target="_blank">receptacle testers</a> were developed to withstand daily wear and tear on the job site. The meters are built to endure a ten foot drop and include a raised rubber boot for increased display protection. They also feature improved accuracy and an easy-to-access fuse and battery compartment.  The upgraded receptacle testers can withstand a six foot drop and include a new design that reinforces the prongs for longer life.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/multimeters/mm5000-electricians-trms-multimeter" target="_blank">MM5000</a> and <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/multimeters/mm6000-electricians-hvac-trms-multimeter" target="_blank">MM6000</a> are True RMS professional meters that provide more accurate readings for all signals. The MM5000 and MM6000 have increased DC accuracy of ±0.3% and ±0.2% respectively. They include a low impedance setting to eliminate ghost voltages as well as a µA setting for checking flame sensors. The meters also have a large back lit display and analog bar graph to measure fast moving readings.  Both meters are double insulated, have a rubber molding for drop protection, and are CAT IV 600V rated. The MM6000 also has temperature and frequency settings for HVAC use and a 6000 count display.  <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/multimeters/mm5000n-electricians-trms-multimeter-nist-certification" target="_blank">MM5000N</a> and <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/multimeters/mm6000n-electricians-hvac-trms-multimeter-nist-certification" target="_blank">MM6000N</a>, NIST certified meters, are also available.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7442" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 460px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/KleinTools-MM6000-PHOTO-1.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7442" alt="Klein Tools Multimeter (MM6000)" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/KleinTools-MM6000-PHOTO-1.jpg" width="450" height="600" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Klein Multimeter (MM6000)</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/electrical-testers/rt500-receptacle-tester" target="_blank">RT500</a> and <a href="http://www.kleintools.com/catalog/electrical-testers/rt600-receptacle-tester" target="_blank">RT600</a> receptacle testers are designed to detect the most common wiring problems in standard 120V receptacles. These products test for correct wiring, open ground, reverse polarity, open hot, open neutral and hot and ground reversed. The RT600 also tests GFCI receptacles for proper operation. They have larger light indicators for greater visibility, fortified prongs for increased durability, and slip-resistant ribbing.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7443" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 460px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/KleinToolsRT500ReceptacleTester-PHOTO.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7443" alt="Klein Tools Receptacle Tester (RT500)" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/KleinToolsRT500ReceptacleTester-PHOTO.jpg" width="450" height="600" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Klein Receptacle Tester (RT500)</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“It can be challenging to produce domestic electrical testers that meet Klein’s demanding level of durability and quality while maintaining an economical price point,” states Bruce Kuhn, Klein Tools product manager. “With these new, featured-pack meters and receptacle testers, we have also responded to customer demand for ‘Made in the USA’ meters while maintaining our standards and performance requirements at a cost-effective price.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Through extensive field research and innovative design, Klein Tools’ new “Made in the USA” meters and testers, like all Klein tools, are engineered with durability and quality in mind. Klein Tools’ stringent testing and elevated requirements  such as drop tests, daily usage or abuse tests and increased accuracy standards,  all contribute to tougher, longer lasting, superior products.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: center;">IRWIN’s New Impact Performance Series Line is Custom-Engineered for Impact Drills and Drivers</h2>
<h3 style="text-align: center;"><em>Phase 1 Launch of IRWIN’s New Line Includes Screwdriving Bits, Nutsetters, Socket Adapters, and Bit Holders</em></h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. [May 6, 2013] — As professional tradesmen continually seek power tool accessories that stand up on the toughest jobsites and help them do their jobs better, faster, or easier, IRWIN Tools announces the introduction of the <a href="http://www.irwin.com/promotions-events/impact-performance-series-fastener-drive" target="_blank">Impact Performance Series™</a> line of screwdriving bits, nutsetters, socket adapters, and bit holders. While most accessories currently marketed for use in impact drills and drivers are compatible with impact power tools, IRWIN’s new line of Impact Performance Series accessories is engineered specifically for use in impact tools. The launch is the <strong>first phase</strong> of the introduction of a comprehensive line of accessories designed for use in impact drills and drivers.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Impact Performance Series Screwdriving/Fastener Drive Bits</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">While most screwdriving bits are simply <em>compatible</em> with impact drills and drivers, IRWIN’s Impact Performance Series fastener drive bits are <em>engineered</em> for maximum durability and long life with impact tools. They’re available in Phillips®, square recess, Torx®, and tamper-resistant Torx® bits. The bits are forged rather than milled, so they fit fasteners more precisely, which reduces stripping and increases the life of the bit itself – IRWIN&#8217;s Impact Performance Series bits have <strong>three times longer life</strong> than standard insert or power bits. They’re manufactured with heavy-duty, cold-forged, high-grade steel that withstands extremely high torque output and have a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and substantially increases the life of the bit.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Impact Performance Series Lobular Nutsetters</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">IRWIN Impact Performance Series nutsetters are built for maximum durability, performance, and long life with impact tools. They are designed to drive the fastener from the side, rather than forcing the corners to turn, maintaining the shape of the fastener and dramatically reducing breakage and damage from stripping. The lobular design provides more clearance on the corners of the fastener where paint build-up often occurs. They are available with or without extremely powerful rare earth magnets that hold fasteners securely in place. They have a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and increases the life of the nutsetter.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7425" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 330px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-nutsetters-lobular.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7425" alt="IRWIN Impact Lobular Nutsetter" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-nutsetters-lobular.jpg" width="320" height="320" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">IRWIN Impact Lobular Nutsetter</p></div></p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Impact Performance Series Bit Holders</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">IRWIN Impact Performance Series insert bit holders have a c-ring design with an external clip that fits into the retaining ring notch of the insert bit, as well as a powerful rare earth magnet that’s four times stronger than standard magnets – both of which hold bits securely in place. They have a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and increases the life of the bit holder.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7426" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 330px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-bit-holders.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7426" alt="IRWIN Impact Bit Holder" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-bit-holders.jpg" width="320" height="320" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">IRWIN Impact Bit Holder</p></div></p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Impact Performance Series Socket Adapters</h3>
<p style="text-align: justify;">IRWIN’s new Impact Performance Series socket adapters also are engineered for maximum durability and long life with impact tools. They are available with a ball-lock retention design for applications when quick-change is ideal. The body of the socket is forged for additional strength, and they have a black oxide finish that resists corrosion and increases the life of the tool.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7427" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 330px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-socket-adaptor.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7427" alt="IRWIN Impact Socket Adaptor" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/IRWIN-impact-socket-adaptor.jpg" width="320" height="320" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">IRWIN Impact Socket Adapter</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">“While cordless impact drivers have been in the market for quite a while, they’ve gotten a lot better in recent years, and are now relevant for many more types of applications,” said Jon Schlosser, Director of Marketing for IRWIN Tools. “Research indicates that professional tradesmen are rapidly shifting to impact technology, with the use of impact drivers increasing dramatically over the past five years. In fact, tradesmen are using impact drivers almost daily, and 30 percent of their time is spent using an impact tool versus rotary or other types of drills or drivers. Most accessories currently marketed for impact use are only <em>compatible</em> with impact drivers, but IRWIN’s new line of Impact Performance Series accessories are <em>built and engineered</em> for optimal performance with impact tools. This first phase of our launch is really only the beginning – as we anticipate continued enhancements to the performance of impact drivers themselves, such as new motor or battery technologies. We’re focused on building our Impact Performance Series line to include all types of accessories for impact drivers.”</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">IRWIN’s entire line of Impact Performance Series screwdriving bits, nutsetters, socket adapters, and bit holders has a 1/4&#8243; quick-change shank that’s designed to work with all types of impact drivers and rotary drills.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">IRWIN’s Impact Performance Series accessories can be found at home centers, hardware stores, and construction and industrial tool suppliers throughout the U.S. and Canada. They can be purchased as singles, in bulk, or as sets. The suggested retail price for screwdriving bits ranges from $0.99 to $5.99, nutsetters from $3.49 to $9.99, socket adapters from $3.49 to $5.99, and bit holders from $3.99 to $6.99. Multiple set configurations are available, with prices ranging from $9.99 to $39.99.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Milwaukee® Introduces Fastback II™ Utility Knife, Featuring Magnetic Blade Storage</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">MILWAUKEE, WI- Milwaukee Tool Corporation continues to expand their Hand Tool offering with the new <a href="http://www.milwaukeetool.com/hand-tools/utility-knives/48-22-1902" target="_blank">Fastback II</a>, launching in May 2013.  A direct reflection of jobsite research and requests to include blade storage for added convenience, the Fastback II™ has all the award winning features of the Original Fastback™ Utility Knife, with the addition of magnetic blade storage that folds into the handle for maximum accessibility.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7405" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 461px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Closing-Action.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7405" alt="Milwaukee Utility Knife Fastback II" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Closing-Action.jpg" width="451" height="451" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Blade folds into the handle.</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Designed to activate the blade 3X faster than a 2-handed opening, the <a href="http://www.milwaukeetool.com/hand-tools/utility-knives/48-22-1902" target="_blank">Fastback II™ Utility Knife</a> features a Press &amp; Flip-one handed blade opening for easy activation.  In addition, a tool free blade change allows for fast and efficient adjustments, while a thin body design makes it easy for a user to store the knife in their pocket. The new magnetic blade storage will hold one spare blade at a time to keep the profile of the blade as slim as possible.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7406" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 461px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Blade-Change.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7406" alt="Milwaukee Utility Knife Fastback II" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Blade-Change.jpg" width="451" height="451" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Easy blade change</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">An integrated gut hook and wire stripper also increase utility by allowing the user to make cuts without exposing the blade and eliminates the need to look for another tool to accomplish the task at hand. When the Fastback II™ is not in use, a wire form belt clip effortlessly attaches to pockets without tearing up material.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7407" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 460px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Gut-Hook.jpg"><img class="size-full wp-image-7407" alt="Milwaukee Utility Knife Fastback II " src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Milwaukee-Utility-Knife-Fastback-II-Gut-Hook.jpg" width="450" height="450" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Integrated gut hook and wire stripper</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The <a href="http://www.milwaukeetool.com/hand-tools/utility-knives/48-22-1902" target="_blank">Fastback II™</a> is the first addition to the <a href="http://www.milwaukeetool.com/hand-tools/utility-knives/48-22-1901" target="_blank">Fastback™</a> line of utility knives and will be available through Milwaukee distributors. <h2>Stanley Blower Fan by Lasko Review</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This small utility fan is surprisingly powerful, given its rather tiny footprint. It&#8217;s made mostly of plastic, including the squirrel cage, which accounts for it light weight. Honestly, I&#8217;m surprised at how many ways I&#8217;ve already found to put it to good use &#8211; it has certainly lived up to the &#8216;utility&#8217; moniker. The utility fan is manufactured by <a title="Lasko Site" href="http://www.laskoproducts.com/model-4940/" target="_blank">Lasko</a>, under the Stanley brand name.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7331" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7331" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-1-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Despite its small size and light weight, this fan can move some air!</p></div></p>
<h3>Stanley Fan Model 655704 Features</h3>
<ul>
<li>12&#8243; High x 12&#8243; Deep x 8&#8243; Wide</li>
<li>3 speed selections</li>
<li>2 auxiliary power outlets</li>
<li>20+ pivot detentes</li>
<li>9 foot + power cord</li>
<li>Carry handle</li>
<li>100 blade blower cage</li>
<li>Circuit breaker</li>
</ul>
<h3>Great Fan For Jobsites</h3>
<p>I&#8217;ve already put this fan to work helping dry out both the shop floor and some carpeting in a client&#8217;s home, following a hard rain and flood watch here in Nashville. The pivoting head comes in very handy on jobs like this, as you&#8217;re able to precisely direct the airflow right where it&#8217;s needed.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7332" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-9.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7332" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-9-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">I actually had to use speed 2, because the fan was actually moving the ponded water; I just wanted air to circulate for evaporative purposes.</p></div></p>
<p><div id="attachment_7333" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-3.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7333" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-3-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The carpet was dried quickly, but due to staining, will likely have to be replaced anyway.</p></div></p>
<p>The auxiliary outlets are convenient, as well. I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;d run a miter saw off them, but they&#8217;re great for work lights, a radio, battery chargers, etc. That&#8217;s a nice feature to have on a jobsite, obviously.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7334" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-2.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7334" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-2-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The outlets are handy and the 4 position speed selector knob moves smoothly.</p></div></p>
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Blower Fan Testing</h3>
<p>I decided to see just how powerful the fan was and tested it by blowing some leaves off the patio. It worked, and while I wouldn&#8217;t recommend using the pivot fan as a leaf blower, it&#8217;s nice to know it&#8217;s available in a pinch.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7335" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-10.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7335" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-10-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">While not its intended purpose, the Stanley Pivot Utility Fan did an admirable job of clearing dried leaves from a patio.</p></div></p>
<p><div id="attachment_7337" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 250px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-5.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7337" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-5-240x300.jpg" width="240" height="300" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The carry handle is comfortable with no sharp edges.</p></div></p>
<p>More along the lines of its true call to duty, I can see the obvious benefits of using this blower fan to speed up:</p>
<ul>
<li>Paint Drying</li>
<li>Plaster and Drywall Mud Drying</li>
<li>Circulate air in a stuffy room</li>
</ul>
<p>I&#8217;ve been using it in the shop and on the job just to stay cool and it&#8217;s done amazingly well, while be surprisingly quiet. I tend to like white noise, especially at night, so this would be a good bedroom fan, as well if you&#8217;re the same. It&#8217;ll certainly keep the air circulating.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7336" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-7.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7336" title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-7-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The fan&#8217;s wide stance helps prevent it from blowing itself over. It really is that powerful.</p></div></p>
<h3>Fan Pros:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Lightweight</li>
<li>Quiet operation</li>
<li>Inexpensive</li>
<li>Powerful Blower</li>
<li>Long cord</li>
<li>Comfortable carry handle</li>
</ul>
<h3>Fan Cons:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Plastic construction</li>
</ul>
<h3>Stanley Blower Fan 655704 Quality</h3>
<p><div id="attachment_7338" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-8.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7338 " title="Stanley Lasko Pivoting Fan" alt="Utility Fan" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Stanley-Fan-8-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The Stanley Pivoting Fan moves a lot of air through this intake.</p></div></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Overall, I give this utility fan high marks for its usefulness, power and features. Short of throwing this fan into the back of a truck and tossing a miter saw on top of it, it should give you years of use. I&#8217;d recommend blowing off the squirrel cage every few weeks just to keep the dust from building, but other than that, this is a great accessory to have on the job, in the shop, or around the house.</p>

<p>This is actually the brainchild of Dana Wilkerson, our resident remodeling contractor. Turns out he&#8217;s not just another ugly face with a set of tools&#8230;he&#8217;s actually pretty smart, but don&#8217;t tell him or he&#8217;ll get a big head.</p>
<p><div id="attachment_7221" class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Job-Site-Table-1.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-7221" title="Tool Bag Storage" alt="Job Site Table 1" src="http://toolskool.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Job-Site-Table-1-300x225.jpg" width="300" height="225" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">It&#8217;s a simple idea, and relatively inexpensive. Plus, it stores in a much smaller space than horses and plywood.</p></div></p>
<h3>It Folds; Plywood Doesn&#8217;t</h3>
<p>Dana carries a plastic folding table like this to every job. It&#8217;s the perfect height, so there&#8217;s no bending over to pick stuff up off the ground, plus there&#8217;s covered storage below. It&#8217;s perfect for keeping tool bags and boxes arranged and handy. It can also be used as a miter saw stand in some cases, depending on the quality of the table and the weight of the saw, of course.</p>
<p>I know what you&#8217;re thinking &#8211; buying a work table is a Contractor Quick Tip? Next, I&#8217;ll be recommending that you make sure to wear shoes on the job, right? Not at all. This is just a great option to free up sawhorses and it&#8217;s a whole lot easier to carry around than a full or even half sheet of plywood.</p>
<p>They&#8217;re available at stores like Costco and Home Depot for anywhere from $40 to over $100, you may even find one at a yard sale. The key feature is folding in half, so that it takes up minimal room.</p>
