DeWalt 8″ Adjustable Wrench Review
From the first time I picked up the DWHT70290 in the package, I knew it was a keeper. I live on the Gulf Coast, and so I look for quality tools that can withstand the elements of salt, wind, and rain. This professional grade wrench from DeWALT fits the bill, making it a perfect addition to my tool box.
DWHT70290 Pros & Cons
So, what do I like about this wrench? Well how about the fact that it just feels right. Additionally, the Tough Coat™ finish is designed to provide a better grip and to prevent chipping. I can attest to the grip, and only time will tell about the prevention of chipping, but so far so good! How many times, have you picked up an adjustable wrench and tightened it to fit, but once on the nut, it slipped? That’s not the case here. The 1 ¼” opening and specially machined jaw movement is engineered for precise adjustments.
Here are some of the other claims that DeWALT makes about the tool.
- Improved strength during high torque applications due to increased engagement on teeth and worm gear
- Extra wide jaw capacity
- Laser etched markings in SAE and Metric
DeWalt Adjustable Wrench Lineup
I checked out the 8” adjustable wrench, but DeWALT has also released these wrenches in 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12”. Any or all of them would make good additions to your tool collection.
